Updated 10/5/2008: Kadian's current size is 2T and that should fit her through the winter. She's in size 6-7 shoes, depending on the brand. She weighs 28 lbs and is about 32 inches tall. For Spring/Summer 2009 she'll be in 3T sizes. Keep in mind that it rarely gets cold enough here in Texas to warrant true "cold weather" clothes. A light jacket and pair of jeans is the most bundled up we ever get.
Kadian's Amazon wishlist is here: KDN's Wishlist. I recently finished refurbishing a play kitchen for her (gotta love free stuff on the curb!), so we've added a few kitchen accessories to the list. She's also still showing a keen interest in music (wonder where she gets that?!). Kadian does not currently watch TV or videos, but loves to listen to music (her latest favorite word is "iPod!") and read books.
As a reminder, our general taste is simple, practical, and non-commercial. We prefer toys and books that are classic and developmentally stimulating. We wish to avoid items that are emblazoned with characters or other overt branding (for example, we'd rather have plain wooden blocks than a Sesame Street branded building set). We are always extra pleased to receive recycled and/or recycleable and "pre-loved" items as gifts. Also, consumables (recycled paper, crayons, paint, chalk, etc) are most welcome.
