Goonies!
Last June (gosh it's taken me a long time to get these pictures up!) we went to our first Rolling Roadshow production - an underground showing of The Goonies at Longhorn Caverns near Marble Falls, Texas. This was billed as "The Ultimate Goonies Experience" and the producers of the event really delivered. Our tickets included:
- In-cave screening of a new print of the movie on their mobile 40 foot screen
- Beer and BBQ following the show
- Baby Ruth Bar
- Q and A with Corey Feldman LIVE and in PERSON! (Really!)
Needless to say we had a great time!

Sondra and I dressed appropriately goofy for the occassion. Isn't Sondra CUTE in her pigtails and glasses?! Kearson let me borrow his hat, too! Prior to allowing us enter the cave for the show, each and every attendee was required to do the "Truffle Shuffle." If you don't know what this is, you should rent the movie again! I actually made it into the video (I'm not exactly sure why - maybe it was the hat!). I am trying to obtain a copy of the video file so check this page again later. It is hilarious. Truffle Shuffle Movie is HERE! (You'll need QuickTime to play it and I STRONGLY discourage anyone who is NOT using broadband from downloading this as it is roughly a 5 MB download.)

The screen itself was located in one of the larger "rooms" about 1/4 mile underground in the cavern. Everyone brought blankets and we all sat on the ground amidst the stalagmites for the show. Every so often you'd get dripped on by water dribbling off the stalagtites on the ceiling! Here we are after the show by the screen.

After the show we all hiked out of the cave and headed to the picnic area for some food, beer and to await the arrival of COREY! He ended up being about 2 hours late as he and his "entourage" had to drive up from Houston after playing a show the night before (Corey is a musician, now and had concert dates throughout Texas that week.) Oh yeah, they also got pulled over for speeding on the way - Way to go, Smokey! BTW - Yes, Corey really is a tiny little man as this sticker indicates.

I have NO idea what Sondra is telling Kearson in this picture - perhaps they were having a heated debate over the future acting endeavors of Chunk. Simmer down now, Sondra!
