I've been wanting to pick up another instrument for some time, now. I played piano growing up, but it is not a very social instrument. Nor is it portable. I have such a great time singing along when my family or friends play the guitar, so I thought it would be great if I could play as well as sing. I've been practicing nearly every day, and can already play through several tunes (some barely recognizable, but still - that's pretty good!). The first song I learned? "Tequila Sunrise" by the Eagles! If I keep practicing, I may even be able to make it through the bridge by the time the next family jam session rolls around!

Here are a couple of shots of the whole guitar. It is a Taylor "Big Baby" which is 15/16th size. The smaller size makes it much easier for me to handle. It has a solid top (spruce, I believe).

Here a photo of the back. The back and sides are (I think) mahogany and the back is slightly rounded.

Close up of the top. Isn't it pretty! The sound is great, too. Very bright and clear.
