Before the photos of Kearson and I, here is our "inspiration" for those who are not familiar with the movie. The Dude is on the left in both of these pictures. Obviously, Maude is the lady on the far right.

Kearson as "The Dude". He started growing his beard out right after Scott's wedding (the impetus for our recent trip to Europe) for his costume.

J9 as "Maude Lebowski". This particular look of Maude's was inspired by her wardrobe in a Ruffie-induced dream had by The Dude entitled "Gutterballs".

Closer view of the front and a look at the back of my costume, which was fashioned from the following: a cardboard box from an empty case of Ramen noodles, a bisected Barbie Basketball, purchased Viking helmet and trident, secondhand gold dress and shoes, ribbon, and a lot of gold spray paint.

We weren't the only one's dressed up! These 4 friends of ours went as the Harlem Globetrotters. This group costume was made all the more hilarious by the fact that none of these women are over 5'5''!!

Peter makes a great Crocodile Hunter. Look at the teeth on that one! Crikey!!!

Can you find Waldo in this picture??

One last shot of The Dude and Maude. Note the bowling bag, which contained all the necessary ingredients for mixing up White Russians (or "Caucasians" as they are called in the movie) - The Dude's drink of choice when he's not having an "Oat Soda" (beer).
