Scenic Lake Buchanan. It is one of the less populated of the "highland lakes" that are about 70 miles Northwest of Austin. They are really reservoirs, formed by the many dams along the lower Colorado river. The water is fairly shallow, and warm like bathwater! Still, it was cool enough to be refreshing on this 90-degree day.

Cap'n J9 at the helm!

Close to sunset, the light turned beautifully golden, and we took advantage by taking tons of photos. Most of these are from Dana's digital camera, she was so nice to get some prints made to give to us! I'll put up a link to some others on her site once they are posted, too! Here's a great one of me and Sondra. Doesn't Sondra look fabulously sun-kissed with her cute short summer haircut?

Me, Fran, and Sondra. Fran works with me and I'm SO glad she could made it. I had left all of my CD's in the car by mistake, and so we tuned in to the oldies station on the radio. Fran, Sondra and I serenaded the rest of the crew with our rendition of "Down in the Boondocks" and many others.

Me and Dana. Dana looked SO sweet in her new maternity swimsuit and sunhat!

Jeff and Sondra enjoying the ride. Also in attendance (but not pictured) were Fran's friend Bob, Kearson (of course), and our friend Mike. Mike brought me Cheetos, which I LOVE. A boat trip just wouldn't be a boat trip without junk food! Hooray Mike!

Cute shot of me in my leopard print bikini. Grrr Baby, grrrr!

Terrific shot of me, Dana and Sondra. It's one that Dana took - I'll have to frame this one!
