Jamie and I on the patio at Romeo's. This is Kearson and my favorite place for brunch. Spicy, garlicky Bloody Marys and the Italian eggs benedict is outstanding.

On the first last day, we met Mel and Sondra in the University district for a delicious greek lunch, followed by some shopping at the Buffalo Exchange - a cool thrift store. If you look close, you can see I'm wearing my Willie Nelson shirt!

No trip to Texas in the springtime would be complete without pictures in the bluebonnets! During LBJ's reign in Texas, his wife Ladybird Johnson made it a project of hers to beautify the state by planting wildflowers along all the state highways. Beginning in March and through the first few weeks of April, the medians are nearly solid blue with Bluebonnets(the Texas state flower) or occasionally fiery red with Indian paintbrush. We stopped off to get some quick shots!

I love this pic of Jamie in the flowers. She looks like such a little wood nymph!

And one of me, too. I didn't want to ruin my white pants, so I couldn't get too up close and personal with the flora.

Jamie took this breathtaking photo of the sunset. Here's to next year in Austin!
