Spring was in the air....

Kearson and I decided to host a party to celebrate the beginning of spring on May Day (May 1st). We rented a margarita machine again, and obliterated two pinatas. Our guests were asked to bring something to put in the pinata - and the contributions were various and excellent. As usual, I was having too much fun to take many pictures, but here are just a few. There are many more (including some of the guests!) on Dana's website. Click here to see them.

What would a party be without cake??!!! Michael brought this fabulous confection. Isn't it beautiful? I am told that the cake was delicious, though I was TOO SLOW to actually eat any of it. Next time: cake first, guitar second!! :)

I'm not sure how it was instigated, but I turned around and there was Miss Sondra - with the remains of one of the pinatas on her head. Knowing Sondra, this will probably become a hot new fashion trend and everyone will be wearing pinatas on their heads within a few weeks! Sondra and I decorated this pinata (which was supposed to be a chili pepper) the night before with the silly faces.

The other face of the pinata. Can you see her construction paper eyelashes?

Kearson was the Weiner-meister and kept us all in franks for the party. These are Elgin sausages - a local specialty from nearby Elgin, Texas. They are YUMMY!!

Again - sorry there are so few photos. But please visit Dana's site for more, including action photos of the pinata destruction! Click here to see Dana's photos.
