I'm enjoying the "glow" of pregnancy and have been feeling really good throughout my second trimester.

Kearson and I had a nice weekend getaway to watch the Dolphins and the Texans play in Houston. Too bad the game was such a disappointment (we were rooting for the Dolphins and they lost).

Despite the loss, it was nice to get away. I figure this will be one of the last "just the two of us" trips that Kearson and I will make for some time!

We have big plans for the house before the baby comes. Aside from turning the current workout/guest room into the baby's room, we're tearing up most of the carpet in the house and replacing it with laminate wood floors. We'll leave the stairs carpeted a while until Kadian can navigate them confidently. The most exciting renovation, though, is adding the screen room that we've always talked about to the back yard. I plan to stay home for the first few years, so it will be wonderful to have a shady, dry and bug-proof outdoor space to enjoy with Kadian.
Both Kearson and I will both be traveling this fall. Kearson is likely heading to China on business for a few weeks in November. He was initially going to be sent to Ireland, but now it seems Singapore and Shanghai are more likely. He should be back in plenty of time for our prenatal classes (we're doing Bradley Method), which start in early December. Also in December, I'll be traveling up to the Northwest for some quality time with Mom and to celebrate the coming baby with the other lovely ladies in my family. Should be fun!
