Who says you can't be glamorous when you're pregnant! Despite the extra pounds and swollen ankles, for the most part I felt quite beautiful while carrying our baby and I think this and the portraits that follow really capture my personality at this unique time in my life. Plus, since I'd decided it wasn't feasible to attend Carnaval this year, it was great to have an opportunity to get all dolled up and take photos! I'm looking forward to sharing these with Kadian when she's a little older. Dana says that Lila loves to see what she looked like when she was "in Mommy's tummy"!

• Thanks to Dana for both REPEATEDLY REMINDING, and eventually BROWBEATING me into actually getting off my butt and having the photos taken. I was draggng my feet and feeling too busy to devote time to this at the time, but she was totally right; I would have seriously regretted not having these photos, we had a great time doing it. They turned out better than I could have ever hoped! She also came to the photo shoot and acted as photo assistant and moral support and also gave me the lovely embroidered black shawl I'm wearing in some of the pictures. Have I mentioned that Dana ROCKS lately??
• Huge thanks to Hopper for not only taking the photos (didn't he do a fantastic job?) and taking an whole evening out of his life to do so even on short notice, but to doing so for FREE. WOW! What an amazing gift for us and Kadian!!
